Jung Sik Dang – Seoul, South Korea

We read mixed reviews before booking but decided to proceed anyway and were glad we did. It was a little difficult to find but once inside, we were greeted with delightful service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Having experienced degustation menus many times, I’m not always a fan but we went with the tasting menu and loved every dish.

We enjoyed the subtle flavours and the skill demonstrated in allowing the quality ingredients to shine without overpowering. The small details were appreciated & although the entire meal was delicious, the highlight for us was the Royal Bibimbap.

The only negative for us was the booking system – there isn’t one! We could find no email address so resorted to calling ahead from Australia to ensure that we could snare a table. Having said that, the staff were very helpful on the phone & their English skills were appreciated as our Korean is shocking!
