Tanisa Resort was a fantastic find! Reception was prompt and friendly even though they hadn’t received the booking from Expedia (we did only book that morning but it should have gone through in under an hour). We travelled as three adults so booked two pool view rooms and were pleased to have them located side by side with parking right outside our room.

What a surprise the rooms were. Thoughtfully designed, well maintained and very clean. Bathrooms were huge (with good water pressure), beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The little balcony was a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the breeze with a drink and the pool was refreshing. Being located in town (as opposed to on the beach), we were able to wander in the evening and found a market with street food so as we were only there for one night, I can’t comment on the food at the resort. We found no negatives on our stay at this terrific little place but I do have one unusual positive… When checking in, a thb400 deposit is required for the key which is refundable on checkout but of course we forgot. To my surprise, staff contacted me quickly via Facebook (the only contact they had) to ask if I was close enough to come back or if they could get the deposit to me another way. Luckily we were just having coffee in town before hitting the highway so we popped back and they promptly handed over the money with big smiles. This was typical of the friendly and helpful staff we met on our stay. Lovely people.

We will return to Tanisa Resort when travelling to Chumphon.
